Many claim that salvation is free, at no cost, but not really! Salvation is by faith alone, but in fact is not alone. One popular church typically states on their website what one must do in order to become a Christian -- that through prayer one can trust in Jesus Christ by doing this, and this, and this, and this... However, they fail to mention in the sinners prayer the one and only thing the sinner needs to do in order to be eternally saved, and that is, "Believe". They say, "You can't earn salvation, its a free gift received by faith." But, "Faith also involves repentance or genuine sorrow for sin and a willingness to turn away from sin." Faith you see also includes giving or committing your life to Jesus as Lord and Savior. It involves asking Jesus into your heart. This double speak is confusing, illogical and to top it off, unscriptural and accursed (Galatians 1:6-9). All of this religious activities is unnecessary to receive the gift of eternal life. All one needs to do is simply trust what Jesus said, "Assuredly I say to you, He who believes in Me, has everlasting life." In this ten part series Dr. Sellers helps clear the gospel air with a simple message of "Faith alone in Christ alone, plus not one thing." He also properly distinguishes and correlates issues concerning repentance and discipleship.
